Youth & sports

The Denmark is a very sporty country. There is a very good handball national team (who win the last european cup), the cyclism is popular and the football is practised by all the young.

 1) Denmark football team

The Danish football team is constituted by a selection of the best Danish players. The traditionnal colour is the white and red, their nickname is the "Danish dynamites" and the Parken Stadium (38000 sits) and the Parken Stadium reception matches at home.
Denmark is qualified for the next european football cup, in Poland and Ukraine, in the group B, the "dead group" with Portugal, Holland and Germany... They are not favorites, but it's a dangerous team and they can surprise many people. In the qualification for the final phase, Denmark finished before the Portugal, so it's a very serious team.

2) The Danish football championship

The Danish football championship (SAS Ligaen) was established in 1912. A division system nationally was introduced during the season 1927/28. Previously a national final was held between the winner of the League of Copenhagen and the provincial tournament winner.

The championship of Denmark is composed of four divisions: SAS Ligaen (D1), 1st Division (D2), and is the second West Division (D3) and Danmarksserie 1 and 2 (D4). The SAS Ligaen consists of 12 clubs, each team plays the other teams three times each season: twice at home and once on the outside (for five or six opponents), once at home and twice outside (for five or six opponents). The first qualified for the third preliminary round of the Champions League.Le second, third and won the Danish Cup qualified for the preliminary rounds of the Europa League. The last two are relegated to lower division (first division).

3) AC Horsens

In Horsens, the city where we live, there is a football club, Alliance Club Horsens, founded in 1994 by the fusion of Horsens fS (founded 1915) and the fusion of B and SI Dagnæs 1940. It's a young club, but it play the first places in the danish championship today.

With friends, I (Eric) went to the CASA Arena, the Horsens stadium, to assist at AC Horsens (3) vs Nordsjaelland (2), the marth 25. It was a very important match, because the qualification for the next europa league is an objective for the two teams.
In the stadium the ambiance was very hot. All the supporters were singing and encouraging Horsens.

In the begining, Horsens dominated the opposing team, and created themself many goals occasions. But the ball didn't want to go into the goals. And Naturally, near the half time, Nordsjaelland score.
After the break, Horsens made pression on the opposing goal, but the defence were very strong. All the singing and the encouragement didn't allow Horsens to equalize. And in the end of the match, on an against attack, Nordsjaelland scored a second goal, ruining the party in the stadium.
