Stockholm

Today, I (Pauline) will told you about Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. We went this week-end (Margaux, Anthony, Johanna and I). We took a plane Friday morning (7:10am) at Billund airport and arrived in Arlanda airport at 8:30am. Then, we had to take a train to join the center of a city divided in 14 islands.

We visited Djugarden and Ostermalm neighborhood and the Vasa museum. It is about a very big boat, dating from the 17th century. He sank during is first fishing trip, 5 minutes after leaving the port. He stayed in the seabed during 300 years before to be released, cleaned, and exposed. We walk around the sea, in some parks and had enjoyed the sun. The night, we slept in a youth hostel.

Saturday, we continued to visit the city with the old center :
  • Gamla island. It is a very touristic place with a lot of shops, restaurants, but also the royal palace.
  • Soldermam, the new active part of a city
  • Riddarholmen, a very little island with exceptional sunrise.

Sunday morning, we did a round of a city by boat. It allows we to saw different building and landscapes. After that, we continued to visit the city center with the main street, Normalm and Kungsholmen neighborhoods. We leaved Stockholm at 5:00pm to take off at 7:30pm. That was a good week-end with a lot of photos in the head.

Football day

Today, in the campus, there was a football tournament, organized by students.
Matches were playing in the football ground of the University.
There were 3 groups of 6 teams, each teams were composed by 6 players. Only the first in each group were qualified for the final three. The rules are : 3 points for match win, 1 for equality and 0 for a lost. The time of a match is 10 minutes.
My team were composed by Ayoub, Camille, Pierre Yves, myself (Eric) and 2 other morocco boys : Soufiane and Nawfal. They replaced Julien (injured in the knee) and Anthony (in travel in Stockholm). The first match, we stupidly lost 1-0, against a team of our level.

The next match, I was the goalkeeper. My team score a goal after 20 seconds. After, we resisted all the match, but at the last second, in a shambles moment, they egalised... I was very angry.

The next match, same scenario, we lost  in the last second (I even thank that the match was finished....)

The fourth match was better : we won 3-0, and I scored two times.

And our last match, we made just 0-0.

Finally, we made 1 victory, 2 lost and 2 equality. But we finished second of our group, because a lot of match of other team finished by an equality. With more chance, we could go to the final.

There was a lot of students outside, and a big barbecue near the stadium, where we can cook our food, and a lot of music, so the ambiance was good. But I think on the ground, players were to aggressive in the contacts. Fortunately, nobody were injured.

Odense : The Andersen's city

Today, I ( Johanna ) went to Odense, the city of Hans Christian Andersen. Odense is the third largest city in Denmark and is really beautiful with its parks and small streams in the town. But this city is mostly a tourist place thanks to Hans Christian Andersen who lived there, and now, in Odense, we can visit the museum devoted to this writer and we can see his childhood home. Indeed, Hans Christian Andersen was a famous writer of fairy tales of the 19th century and many of his fairy tales are very famous and known by many people like : The Little Match Girl, The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid,....

Ribe

Today, with four students of Angers, I ( Johanna) went to the oldest city in Denmark : Ribe. This city was established in the 8th century, that's why we can still see remains of fortifications outside the city. Ribe is a very interesting town because it is typical. Indeed, the houses, the cobblestones streets, the church, ... all in an original style, typical of Denmark. But this town is really small and we visited the city quickly. So, after that, we went to the sea, because Ribe is near the North Sea and we walked along the coast.
